Urban Matrix. Electronic Body Synth Music. The two phrases go hand-in-hand as the underground German project has been rising to prominence within the industrial and EBM scenes. Urban Matrix began his stompy journey in March of 2020 when he unleashed his debut EP “Adventures In Time And Space”. Since then, Urban Matrix has been a creation machine and has turned out over a half-dozen official releases thus far. His genuine love for music has led him to partner with multiple record labels, including EBSM from France, Soil, and FIXREC from the Netherlands. We at Brutal Resonance Records are more than happy to welcome Urban Matrix to our roster in 2021 with their most definitive album to date, “The Book of Revelation”.

Urban Matrix spoke of the album and stated that it, “stands as the final book of the New Testament as well as the final book of the Christian Bible. Its title is derived from the first word of the Koine Greek text, ‘apokalypsis’, which means ‘unveiling’ or ‘revelation’. The Book of Revelation is the only apocalyptic book in the New Testament canon. The book spans three literary genres: the epistolary, the apocalyptic, and the prophetic. It begins with John, on the island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea, addressing a letter to the ‘Seven Churches of Asia’. He then describes a series of prophetic visions, including figures such as the Seven-Headed Dragon, the Serpent, and the Beast, which culminate in the Second Coming of Jesus. The obscure and extravagant imagery has led to a wide variety of Christian interpretations. This album is my musical interpretation.”

Urban Matrix’s “The Book of Revelation” will be released in both digital and limited edition four-panel digipack CD formats on July 29th, 2021.
