SEMTEX is a relentless self improvement anthem to help you drag yourself out of a hell-year. Your mind and soul are separate from your stupid flesh prison and can grow and change. The ideas you put out into the world infect other people and live eternally. Your body is a collapsing temple but you are not your body. Weirdly anti body for an EBM track now that I think about it. SEMTEX is a soft sequel to HOSTILE THEME, it’s got a really similar overall structure including a single verse and a similarly overlong developmental section after the first chorus. I absolutely love how it turned out. Originally I wanted to put out a different song for this release called POWER OVERWHELMING but after spending weeks trying to make it work with nothing to show for it I had to eventually scrap it and start something new instead; ended up being SEMTEX and I think the album will be significantly better off with this song.
